12.-13.12.2019 China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation


Finland hosted the 4th China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation in Helsinki on December 12-13, 2019. The Committee meeting is coinciding with the China-Finland Economic and Trade Joint Commission, bilateral meeting between the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM).

The program focused on the theme of Green Economy, Sustainability, Sustainable Solutions Finland's Presidency of the Council of the EU. Four working groups have been formed in the fields of common interests - Energy, Clean Air, Maritime Logistics, and Forestry – to develop the cooperation. Indoor Air Quality ecosystem (IAQe) presented at the Clean Air working group, coordinated by Outotec Corporation.


There were about 90 representatives from Chinese companies, agencies and organization, and over 150 Finnish participants took part in the events. The President & CEO of Outotec Corporation, Mr. Markku Teräsvasara, gave the summary of the Clean Air meetings. He pointed out the importance of the emission reduction in industry to improve the outdoor air quality, meanwhile the innovative indoor air solutions are needed to create safe and heathy living environment. The cooperation platform is essential to bring the success between two countries.

The IAQe company partners have been active in the Clean Air group, e.g., Vaisala and Air0. IAQe, as the Business Finland’s Growth Engine and part of the Smart Energy Finland program, will continue working together to enhance the cooperation between China and Finland and lead to the development of successful stories and projects.
